About Jo.
I am first a Canadian citizen and Permanent resident of Mexico and humbled and honored to be the author of several International award-winning and best-selling memoirs. Frock Off: Living Undisguised, Frock Off Two (red freedom edition). Best Kept Secret to Success in Life, Love, and Business, Bella’s Dash: How Our Pup Rescued Us. And it has been my privilege to have coauthored several books.
A little history; I spent over 35 years in hiding as a key witness in a murder investigation. Through it all, I remained the eternal optimist. I lived vicariously through others by helping them realize their dreams. My goal, mission, and responsibility as I see it both then and now is to lift those in deep need at the grassroots level.
It’s why I founded Team Humanity Baja. Our directive, in everything we do, is to Elevate, Educate and Empower. Team Humanity Baja has become our charity of choice for all books sold.

About the Causes We Support:
Team Humanity Baja
Team Humanity was established in March 2019 to serve the working poor and other organizations that work tirelessly to serve the community.
We serve:
- New Creations Kids – Childrens Home
- Colonies of hard-working single moms whose struggle is real
- The Centro de Salud Los Barriles – Free Medical Clinic
- Cortez Rescue (Los Barriles)
- SNAP – (Spay, Neuter, Awareness Prevention) Los Barriles
During our initial humanitarian trip to the colonies, it was determined that there was an ongoing need to organize and distribute household goods, clothing, hygiene products, food, shoes, blankets, and other basic needs.
The majority of the Colinas we serve are predominantly single working mothers whose struggle is real.
Our purpose and goals – ELEVATE, EDUCATE, and EMPOWER
To create sustainable change in all we do.
In the colonies and children’s home, we are looking to develop programs that can be implemented to drive independence and resources through donations and funding.
One person can make a significant difference in the life of another.

When you travel to Mexico on some airlines, there is one complimentary piece of checked permitted if it is humanitarian aid. The suitcase must contain only items for donation weighing up to 50 lbs.! That is a lot of towels, sheets, diapers, undies, toiletries, etc… hint, hint.
